John the traumatised soldier with art from Petite Madame

Before I start let me tell you, that I am extremely proud, to show you my favourite John Watson art from the amazing French artist Petite Madame, and I am honoured to have her permission to show her incredible art here. She is not only super creative and talented, but also a very nice and supportive! Please see more of her works and illustrations on her social media accounts. They can be found on Tumbler  and  can be seen on Twitter X Dr. John H. Watson is actually a quite broken character. People always talking about Sherlock and his character flaws, which he has that's probably very obvious, but he is in my opinion the much more solidified person, and that's why John relies on him. Sherlock is John's lifeline. And no I do not mean it in a Johnlock way. In case, you have missed  our very first blog post where I explained a few things, here now once more the Johnlock explanation :) I had been a Johnlocker myself in my years in the wonderful Sherlock fandom. But this blog i

Big brother is watching you and Martin Freeman will tell you why

Time for a red dot in your calendar 🗓 Saturday 8th June BBC Radio will bring a real treasure to your mind and ears. A special reading of 1984. Six hours. Six readers. Martin Freeman. Rashan Stone. Juliet Stevenson.  Adjoa Andoh. Samuel West.    Tom Hollander. Every reader will read one hour. A day of reading brilliance. Later on, you will also be able to listen to it on BBC Sounds! 1984 is probably George Orwell's most famous work, maybe in competition with Animal Farm, and sadly not as utopian as we might have hoped. It is passed down, that George Orwell wanted to teach people a lesson, how dangerous it would be if we allow the Government to control everything and everyone. A system that controls your life, thoughts and even the past. A regime that manipulate their citizens, and make them believe everything they want to, which brings them as much power as possible. The english language itself, had been  " cleaned " of " harmful " words, and is now a polished

"Is your best good enough ?" Thoughts on S2 EP3 Spoiler warning!

Is your best good enough ?  You dirty fucking thief !  My two favorite sentences in episode three. They have nothing and everything to do with each other. And since I absolutely assume that you won't read my babbling before you have seen the show, please allow me to start with the end. " Is your best good enough? " And for once I can say wholeheartedly Yes! Because in case of Rachel Hargreaves our favourite cop has done his best and it is good enough! No, it was probably not the right thing to do on a legal and " Go by the books" kind of way, but that's a move where we can imagine how good and loyal Carson had been in his former position. He goes a mile, and more for a colleague if necessary. He would make such a great friend to people, if they had given him a chance. Rachel completely lost it, and once again absolutely fantastic acting by Ms. Adedayo! Brilliant to a new extend, super frightening and equally vulnerable. And here is Chris Carson who came im

Nightwatching a masterpiece

Image
Be aware of spoiler please!!!!  I wanted to do this long before I even thought about creating a blog. Talk about this film. Because there is always the moment in a fan's life when you know, this thing will last. And even I had been a fan since 2003, it was this movie that made me a fan for life. " Nightwatching " and Martin Freeman's performance did the trick. Although it wasn't a trick at all, but immense talent. Martin Freeman as Rembrandt van Rijn in Peter Greenaway's film is a tour de force of art, pictures, scenery and atmosphere. This film was released 17 years ago, and it is still as great as it had been back then. And this movie is the reason why I keep being rebellious about the ridiculous notion that Mr. Freeman plays " Everymen ". Because if you have watched this film, you realised many years ago what a heavyweight this man is....in the best possible way that art can provide. I had some experience with Greenaway's work, since the late

What a weekend it was! Full of greatness and praise for The Responder, and a man in an extraordinary tuxedo. Mr. Freeman at the Bafta Television Awards had been a highlight in itself. Wonderful and witty award presentation together with the stunning Ms. Adelayo Adedayo, and a red carpet appearance together with the equally stylish and beautiful Ms. Rachel Benaissa. Remember when I told you that Mr. Freeman always tells a story with his style ? The Baftas and his appearance had been an incredible story! Again huge thanks to Mystyrose and safedistancefrombeingsmart. Find them:  here  and  here   I couldn't do this without you and your brilliant work. And thank you to all photographers and journalists for their remarkable work. And special thanks to Modern Collective. The Bafta Television Awards 2024! And last but not least. The official Bafta portrait of Martin Freeman! And in colour!
